Newborn Pictures

Caedmon had some newborn pictures taken for the Christmas Card.

Even before Caedmon was born he already had some nicknames like Cade and Captain Caveman. After his birth he gained a few more; Mr. Milk Mouth, Fartbox, Tootin Machine, Monkey Man, and Stinkbutt just to name a few. lol In honor of one of his nicknames Grandma and Grandpa Hatke had a couple of shirts made for him.

Caedmon's First Christmas

Caedmon's first Christmas was busy but a success. Started out by heading to Lafayette on the 21st to his grandpa and grandma Hatke's house. Had our traditional homemade pizza made by Tanner's dads and then we opened gifts. Then on the 22nd we headed to John and Penny Hatke's house for the Hatke Christmas. And of course played pass the baby around. Caedmon did really well but I think that was because he was still pretty sleepy from his first shots the day before.

Then that night we drove the 2.5 hour drive from Lafayette to Granger to my dads house, aka grandpa Cichos. We pretty much went to bed not long after arriving there. Then on the 23rd we had lots of visitors to see us all and meet Caedmon. Aunt Margie and Uncle Dave, Aunt Vivian and Uncle Dennis, and the Kuklas. And also hung out with my bro, Heather, and the kids. On the 24th, my bro, Heather, and the kids came back over to my dads and we had lasagna and opened gifts. Also had a visit from Aunt Carol and Uncle Bob. Then headed down the street to visit my "second mom" growing up, Brenda, along with the rest of that family. Visited with them briefly before heading home that night. The drive home is 3 hours. Caedmon slept the whole way to Granger and the whole way home back to Indy.

Then on the 25th we headed back to Lafayette to great grandma Lil's house for Tanner's mom's side of the family Christmas. And now we are in Kingman for the weekend at grandma and grandpa Dawson's house to do our Christmas. Whew!

As a side note, for the 3rd year in a row now, Tanner and I keep saying folding presents instead of wrapping presents. lol We think this is because in our house we always have a sofa full of laundry to be folded. We hate to fold clothes and therefore must always have that on the brain. :)
