Happy New Year!!

Caedmon and I rang in the New Year in Fort Sill, Oklahoma (well Caedmon was in bed).  I don't believe in New Year's resolutions.  But I do have goals which I know that is about the same but these goals are pretty much life long goals and not goals for just 2015 per say.

1)  I am hoping to be more on top of this blogging thing.  Especially since Caedmon is starting to learn more words and I know he will be saying more funny things that I would like to document.

2)  I lost about 10 to 15 pounds last year doing Focus T-25 and would like to lose more.  Also because I love to run and miss it.  But unfortunately my feet cannot handle the extra weight so I need to lose weight in order to run.  It sounds so funny saying it like that.

3)  To go along with number 2, want to make it a priority that I go to the YMCA three times a week.  Of course to workout but more for that I can get up to 2 hours of child watch a day.  I NEED to do this for my own sanity and for Caedmon to get more socialization since I am not working.  This is the time of year that I hate the most and I don't want to be sitting around in my house being lazy, bored, and depressed (like I was last year) and about to have my own melt down because Caedmon is driving me nuts.  And when I am not going to the YMCA then I could do T-25 again at home.  Have some variety in my workouts.

4)  I would like to read more books and do more daily devotions.  Number 3 could help with this.  I used to go to the YMCA and do an hour workout class and then I would have an hour to sit in the lobby and read a book and/or do a devotional.

5)  I want to work on being more organized and do weekly planning.  Such as I want to be better at planning out meals for the week and planning out what Caedmon and I will do during the week. I actually just ordered a cute planner from Plum Paper Designs tonight.  I plan to use it to plan out my daily schedule with Caedmon, my workouts, and meal planning all in one place.  I cannot wait to get it.

6)  Lastly, that I get out of my comfort zone more and get out and do things with other girlfriends.  A lady in my MOPS group hosts a book club and maybe I will give that a try.  The MOPS theme this year is Be You, Bravely and I am trying to be more brave in several areas of my life.  The main one being my eye disease.  I am always afraid to leave the house when it is dark out without my security blanket, aka Tanner.  And doing more things with Caedmon by myself.  For example, I almost didn't want to go to Oklahoma because I was afraid to be that far away from Tanner and having to deal with all of Caedmon's melt downs by myself and not get a break.  But I decided it is time to quit living in fear of all of the what ifs that might happen on this trip and just go and everything will be just fine.  Everything was fine and I had help from my mother-in-law and her best friend.  Let's face it going on this trip was better than sitting at home all week while Tanner is at work.  More details on the trip to come.  And maybe I will brave a trip to Memphis with Caedmon by myself this year.  :-)

Tracks

A quick little story that just happened that I couldn't believe.  We are watching Curious George and it is about George trying to take pictures of animals and their tracks that they leave behind.  All of a sudden Caedmon puts his blanket that has dog prints on it onto Tanner's lap and says "Tracks."  I was amazed at how he picked up on this from the TV show.
