We went to my friend Becky's house to ring in the New Year. I had so much fun that I don't think I laughed that hard in a really long time. So there were 7 of us adults and 2 kids. There was Becky and of course her husband Jon, blessed to have Taylor and Heather there, Tanner and I, and Nate (a friend currently living with Becky and Jon). It is so fun watching Caedmon play with Adrian (and other kids) and he has a blast.
So we played this card game that Heather got for Christmas, Cards Against Humanity. It is like an inappropriate adult version of Apples to Apples. The box said its a card game for horrible people and we all said we are going to hell for playing it. It seems like it can't be that bad till you start looking at the cards and your like OMG, who comes up with this stuff?
After the lil boys went to bed we played some flippy cup out in the garage for a little bit. Not sure if I want to fess that I was on fire with that game.
Lastly to ring in the new year we headed up to their bonus room and watched the ball drop on the BIG screen (a 110 inch projection screen). It was a little funny because some people forgot that Dick Clark passed away. We were like where is Dick Clark?
Last year Heather brought in the new year with some Mexicans since her husband was deployed. And one of their traditions is to eat 12 grapes between 11:59 and midnight and it will bring good luck. First of all they could of bought smaller grapes. These things were enormous! Therefore I didn't get them all eaten and I suck. Lol. But Tanner on the other hand started gagging on his grapes. LOL. I can still envision it in my mind and laugh everytime I think about it or am reminded of it.
On New Years Day we went to Heather's moms house for a playdate with her other nephew Noah (Heather's sisters son). If I haven't already mentioned this in an earlier post, Noah is just 3 weeks older than Caedmon. And if you have never seen pictures of Noah you would of thought they were twins because they both have red hair. Adrian came along too and the boys had fun.
