The day after Christmas we got about 7 inches of snow (wahoo!).  So we had a nice snow day at home.  We did some cleaning of the house and put our gifts away.  Well during this time the Dish Network wasn't getting a signal so we decided to put on Netflix.  Well I ended up getting all excited because I found all these cartoons and kids movies.  Didn't realize there was a section of children and family stuff.  There were even age group categories.  So I found all this Veggie Tales stuff (love Veggie Tales).  Well I came across a new song I never heard and it is now my fave Veggie Tales song. 

I also love this song because when my nephew Stone was Caedmon's age he had a stuffed manatee that he loved.  Plus I think the word manatee sounds funny and they are funny looking.  LOL.

Silly Funny Bunny

Tanner's dad (Denny) and step-mom (Vickie) were watching her friends granddaughter (Alexis) one day (who I believe is about 4 years old).  Well Denny was cleaning and something fell and he got mad and Alexis told him he was a silly funny bunny.  Denny was like no I am not, you are ruining my reputation of being a grumpy old man.  And she again said no you are a silly funny bunny.  So for Christmas we had to get this made for him.  LOL.

My First Birthday as a Mom

I had a good birthday.  Tanner took the day off and I spent the day with Tanner, Caedmon, and Tyson.  I also treated myself and got my hair dyed red.  We also went to Target (my fave store) to do some shopping.  I tried to go the day before but Caedmon wouldn't quit crying so I left.  It seems like I cannot go shopping unless he is sleeping in his car seat.  Well when we went to Target on my birthday he wasn't sleeping but he was content so that was shocking.  And the day ended with my friend Becky stopping by the house to have a beer with me.

Then the next day Caedmon's grandma and grandpa Hatke came for the day and spent the night.  They watched Caedmon while Tanner and I had a date night.  We went to a jewelry store and I got to pick out a sapphire ring that I have wanted for quite a long time.  Then we went to dinner at Ocean Prime which is really nice surf and turf place.  They had some really neat cocktails.  The one smoked for about 5 minutes.  The food was really good.  Then we ended off the night going to a brewery (Triton Brewery) we hadn't been to yet and had the sampler.  So basically we had to go to places that we wouldn't or couldn't take kids to.  :-)

2 Month Check-Up

So I have a lot of catching up to do here.  Caedmon is now 2 months old yesterday.  He had his 2 month check up and first set of shots last Friday.  He weighed 11 pounds and was 24.5 inches long.  He is 90th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight.  He did pretty well with his shots.  He ended up sleeping just about the entire day.  At the end of the day he got a little fever but that went away with Tylenol.  He had grape flavored Tylenol and loved the sweetness of it.  So in summary all is well!

This post was started like a month ago but it took me this long to figure out how to add videos.  LOL.

Tyson has been such a sweet boy with Caedmon.  He seems to be concerned about him and wants to lay next to him and be part of the action.  He sniffs him all the time and occasionally licks him.  LOL.

We will miss you Uncle Taylor!

Uncle Taylor and Aunt Heather came home to Indiana for about 15 days over Thanksgiving.  Taylor is about to head to Bahrain for an entire year and we will not see him again till Christmas of next year.  So it worked out great that he got to meet Caedmon before leaving.  It is crazy that Caedmon should be walking when he sees Uncle Taylor again.  So we had a great visit with them and sad to see them leave.  Here are some pics from their visit.

 Caedmon Lee Hatke born October 27, 2012 at 7:13 PM.  He was 7 pounds 4 ounces, 21 inches long.

Caedmon's First Day Home

Boy were we glad to get home.  He was a little jaundice and had to be under the bili light for a day and a half.  He had to stay an extra night at the hospital.  Luckily they had a room that Tanner and I could stay in so we didn't have to go home without him.

We definitely appreciate all the help that we have been blessed with.  Grandma Dawson stayed a couple of days with us and she stayed and watched Tyson while we were in the hospital.  When Tanner went back to work, Grandma Hatke stayed with me a couple of days and practiced taking Caedmon out and about.  Many friends and family made food which was also greatly appreciated.  We are truly blessed.
